I remember when little Frank and Fred were younger after choir rehearsal at Fellowship, they would ask for some money for candy. I would always ask them, go ask your parents first if I can buy it for you and they would say they said yes. I would go and ask myself and to see their faces. Priceless. That's the word that I will always remember times. Rest Easy little Frank until we meet again.

As his professor at Clark Atlanta University, I had the pleasure of his wit and his abundance of creativeness which poured out effortlessly. He was also a bright spot, shining his smile while encouraging his fellow students to push through and produce their best. We kept in touch and I was so proud of him as a kind, funny, talented young man. I often shared my European experience with my students, and was so happy when he was able to explore the world. The news of his departure, truly stopped me in my tracks.

With Love and Respect,
Javier DuVonce Tolbert, Professor

It’s hard to find the words to reflect the impacts you made, the lives you changed, the jokes we shared, and the bonds you created. I don’t even know if you realized we loved you for you not what you could do but simply you. From moments of late night stegals runs, to being a part of adult milestones, we saw each other grow up and overcome the wildest of times. As much as this may hurt, I must remind you, I got more compliments in the PePe Le Pew jacket than you did 😂 and you know it! I also have never worn white boots again thanks to your advice, and I’m pretty sure you are the only person I know who loves Zoolander just as much as I do. Thanks Frank…you will be missed, you are loved, and you will never be forgotten.

Your mom was holding you in her womb at my wedding in 1985. She sang and you did not complain, no kicking or screaming …LOL. Both of your parents are talented, LA LA was a gifted seamstress, therefore, you were destined to be a STAR. God blessed you for 39 years and I was blessed to know you. May you rest in peace and rise in GLORY.
